Agriculture is the prime source of wealth in Bihar and is the key to the overall development of the state economy. Bihar has a total geographical area of about 93.60 lakh hectare out of which 56.03 lakh hectares is the net cultivated area.
The state government has accorded top priority to agriculture and has prepared a road map for agriculture sector. Farm mechanization which enhances cropping intensity, reduces labour requirement and enhances efficiency of production in agriculture, is a vital policy initiative, taken by the Department.
Government’s policies and programmes aimed at achieving rapid agricultural growth through optimum utilization of land, water, soil and plant resources of the Bihar farming community through agriculture extension services.
It is against this backdrop CII is organizing the 8th edition of Agro Bihar 2018 in association with Department of Agriculture – Government of Bihar.
