Amul, the renowned dairy brand will sponsor USA and South Africa during ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in June. The highly anticipated ICC tournament is set to kick off on June 1st, featuring the opening match between USA and Canada in Dallas, Texas. Amul's collaboration with the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), responsible for marketing dairy products under the Amul brand, reflects a strategic move towards promoting and expanding cricket's popularity across the nation.

Amul's involvement in international cricket dates back to 2011 when they partnered with the Netherlands cricket team, maintaining a strong presence in various ICC events since then.

This association with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), responsible for marketing milk and milk products under the brand name Amul, signifies a significant step towards expanding and popularizing cricket across the nation. Having initiated their association with international cricket back in 2011 through the Netherland's cricket team, Amul has maintained a strong bond with the sport by supporting various international teams in numerous ICC events.

Venu Pisike, Chairman of USA Cricket, expressed his pleasure by stating, "We are pleased to have Amul on board as the lead arm sponsor for the upcoming and eagerly awaited ICC Cricket T20 World Cup 2024. Amul's extensive track record of sponsoring cricket teams underscores its commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging sportsmanship, and uniting communities globally. Collaborating with esteemed brands like Amul inspires us to strive for excellence both on and off the field."

Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Amul added: “Milk is the world’s original energy drink and is consumed by sportspersons around the world. For more than 25 years Amul products like Butter, Ghee, Ice cream and Shrikhand have been consumed in USA and now we are pleased to announce the launch of Amul Fresh Milk across America. The goodness of Amul Milk will empower the USA Cricket team to win hearts and laurels from across the world. We wish our best to the team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.”

The news of this partnership was met with enthusiasm, evident from the official Twitter account of USA Cricket and Proteas Men (Men's National Cricket in South Africa) which expressed excitement over the new alliance with Amul for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

"We are so excited to announce our brand new partnership with Amul! They will be our main sponsor for the upcoming Men's T20 World Cup!" tweeted Official Twitter account of USA Cricket.

 

"We are delighted to announce Amul as the team sponsor to the Proteas men’s team for the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA. The Proteas will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign with three league matches against Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York from 3 - 10 June. Their journey then shifts to the West Indies, where they will conclude the league stage with a match against Nepal at Arnos Vale Cricket Stadium in St Vincent on 14 June,” tweeted Official Twitter Account of Men's National Cricket in South Africa.

“With Amul’s support and recent 4-0 series victory against Canada, the USA men’s cricket team will look forward to making a statement in the upcoming T20 CWC 2024 at home," Proteas Men’s tweet continued.
