As the procurement of Rabi (winter) crops is all set to start in many states, the government has come out with the idea of giving E- Passes to the farmers amid the nationwide lockdown.  Moreover, the government has decided that every day, only 100 farmers will be allowed to bring their produce to the ‘mandis’. The market committees will ensure that all the agricultural produce including wheat, mustard and black gram should be brought into the yards only after an online e-gate pass is issued to the farmers. As per reports, E-passes are being issued to farmers to take out the wheat and production to the mandi. Hence, the government has developed an app through which farmers can easily make e-passes.

How to Get E-Passes for Farmers?

The state government of Punjab has developed ‘Kisan Punjab Mandi Board's E-PMB (E-PMB)’ app where they can easily enroll their name to get E-passes. Moreover, farmers can get all the information about crop purchase through this app.

You can easily download the ‘E-PMB’ app from the google play

Farmers can easily download it from google play. After this, the farmer needs to fill the form with their name and mobile number to create an e-pass. Note that the information of the same farmer should be filled in it, who will go to the wheat market or Mandi.

Wheat Purchase will be Monitored

The Punjab Mandi Board has set up control rooms in view of the Corona crisis. Through this, strict monitoring will be done on the purchase of wheat. Not only this, if the farmer needs any kind of help in the purchase of wheat, phone numbers have also been provided and distributed to the farmers of the district for this.
