There is an important update for all the farmers who have registered for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). As per reports, the outstanding payments of farmers will soon be dispersed in their bank accounts. But from 2020 onwards, farmers without Aadhaar card may be deprived of PM-Kisan scheme and won't get any money. Earlier farmers with 2 hectares of land were eligible for the scheme but after the elections the government included all the farmers in it. The first installment were given to farmers before elections, second was paid after the election and the third installment was transferred in April.
However, till now thousands of farmers have not received money in their accounts. Even the first installment have not came in their bank accounts. On this, Deputy Agriculture Director (Lucknow division) CP Srivastava said that soon all the installments will reach into the accounts of all eligible beneficiary farmers. But Aadhaar card will be mandatory in the PM Kisan Yojana from next year i.e. 2020. Payments of farmers without Aadhaar will be stopped immediately.
Even after government's repeated assurance, farmers are not getting the full benefit of PM-Kisan scheme. There is a huge difference of 49 thousand farmers, who got the first and third installment of PM Kisan in the National capital. The first installment has been given to 1.58 lakh farmers. At the same time, the third installment reached the accounts of only 1.09 lakh farmers. This difference is causing uneasiness among the farmers. Not only Lucknow, but other states also have the same scenario.
PM-Kisan: Twelve thousand farmers did not get even one installment
The scheme started in November 2018 and it is almost one year now. But around 14 thousand farmers in Delhi have not yet received even one installment. Out of 1.72 lakh eligible farmers in the capital, only 1.58 lakh farmers have got the first installment.
PM-Kisan: Aadhaar Registration till 12th November
Camps are being organized at tehsil level till November 12 for Aadhaar seeding. Deputy Agriculture Director CP Srivastava says that flaws in farmers' Aadhaar card will be rectified in these camps. In addition, Aadhaar seeding will also be done.
