First Agrochemicals Congress: Country's Status on Various Fronts of Agrochemicals to be Held From 13-16 November

The growing world population is estimated to reach 9.1 billion by the year 2050. This increased population density is projected to raise the demand for food production by 70% in developing countries. The availability of additional agricultural land & resources are limited. The reduction of current yield losses due to pests is a major challenge. Here chemical pesticides will continue to play a role in pest management as more & more target specific and environment friendly products are being introduced. The benefits of pesticide use are high relative to their risks. New concepts in crops, human health, resource management, nanotechnology, smart formulations & related sciences are likely to increase agricultural productivity. With this background, current status of agrochemicals on various fronts will be collated for researchers & policy makers in order to grow agriculture in a sustainable manner.
