Objective of Rythu Bandhu Scheme

Rythu Bandhu Scheme, also known as Agriculture Investment Support Scheme, is a welfare program to support farmer’s investment for 2 crops a year by Telangana Government. The Agriculture & Farmer Welfare Department of Telangana Government launched the Rythu Bandhu scheme in 2018.

The main objective of the scheme is to prevent farmers from taking personal loans at huge interest rates & rescue them from financial pitfalls. Under Rythu Bandhu scheme, cultivators will directly get financial support two times a year - during the two main harvest seasons.

The Telangana government provides Rs 5,000 per acre per season to a farmer for purchase of inputs like seeds, fertilisers & pesticides, twice a year i.e. for ‘Rabi’ and ‘Kharif’ seasons.
