PM Kisan Latest Update: Over 11 crore farmers, who are waiting for the 8th installment of PM Kisan, have a good opportunity to get additional Rs 36,000 per year. In order to help farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is offering Rs. 36000 annually to PM Kisan beneficiaries.

PM Kisan Update

So far, government has released seven installments of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. In 2020, PM Kisan installment was released in the mid of April but this year due to Covid-19, Centre could not disburse the money on time. But according to official sources, farmers will soon get Rs 2000 in their accounts.

How to get Rs. 36000

In order to get Rs. 36000 per year, you will have to register yourself under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana – a pension scheme. Under this scheme, after the completion of 60 years of age, farmers will get pension of Rs 3000 per month i.e. Rs 36,000 yearly.

Farmers who are already taking benefit of PM Kisan yojana need not have to do any separate registration for this scheme. They don’t have to submit any paper because the entire document of farmer is with the Government of India.

There is an option to opt for direct contribution from the profits received from PM-Kisan scheme. In this way, the farmer will not have to spend money directly from his pocket. His premium will be deducted from Rs. 6000 that he or she receives every year under PM Kisan yojana.

Double Benefit for farmers

In this way farmers will get benefit of both the schemes. They will get Rs 6000 per year under PM Kisan yojana and Rs. 36000 per year through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. That means, a farmer get Rs 42000 per year, which is sufficient for doing farm activities.

Who can take advantage of this scheme?

Under PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, any farmer between the age of 18 to 40 years can register to get the benefit. But farmers must have cultivable land up to 2 hectares. They will have to pay a monthly contribution of Rs 55 to Rs 200 under the scheme for a minimum of 20 years and maximum 40 years, depending on the age of the farmer.

If you join the scheme at the age of 18, then the monthly contribution will be Rs. 55 every month. At the same time, if you join this scheme at the age of 30, then you will have to contribute Rs 110 per month. Similarly, if you join at the age of 40, then monthly contribution will be Rs.
