Indian Council of Agricultural Research Announces KRITAGYA Hackathon; Register Now to Win Prizes worth Rs. 5 lakh

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has launched ‘KRITAGYA’ i.e. Krishi Taknik Gyan hackathon under the National Agricultural Higher Education Project or NAHEP for Students, faculties, entrepreneurs and innovators.

To promote the potential technology solutions for improving the farm mechanization with special emphasis on women-friendly equipment, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research has launched ‘KRITAGYA’ i.e. Krishi Taknik Gyan hackathon under the National Agricultural Higher Education Project or NAHEP.

Students, faculties, entrepreneurs or innovators from different universities as well as technical institutions can register and participate in the event in the form of a group.

The registration link for KRITAGYA hackathon has been made available on the official website from 15th September 2020. The last date to submit the online registration process is 30th September 2020. Those interested will have to visit the official website - nahep.icar.gov.in and fill in the online registration form.

Check Eligibility Criteria for KRITAGYA Hackathon

As mentioned above that students, faculty members, innovators / entrepreneurs from technical institutions and universities can take part in the event by forming a group.

As per details, the group can contain a maximum of 4 participants with not more than 1 faculty or more than 1 entrepreneur or innovator. The students taking part in the KRITAGYA hackathon can team up with the local start-ups, students from technology institutes and can win Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh & Rs. 1 lakh as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize.

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Director General of ICAR said that the development and promotion of women-friendly equipment will play an important role in boosting farm productivity & profitability, which has also been emphasized by PM Modi on several occasions.

Dr. R. C. Agrawal, Deputy Director-General, ICAR & National Director, NAHEP said that the KRITAGYA hackathon would give an opportunity to the students, faculties, innovators, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to exhibit their innovative approaches & technology solutions to promote farm mechanization in the country. He said it will also help in improving the learning capabilities, innovations, & disruptive solutions, employability & entrepreneurial drive in the Farm Mechanization sector.
