According to an official release, the AP Chief Minister held a virtual meeting with the Collectors at his camp office to assess the affected districts' situation due to cyclone.

"All relief should be distributed as soon as possible, and officials should ensure that all types of paddy, including discolored and wet paddy, are purchased at the Minimum Support Price" (MSP). According to the release, even if farmers want to sell outside, officials should ensure they receive MSP.

Because the farmer can back-calculate the expected margin, MSP provides a powerful signal to the farmer to exercise the choice of sowing a specific crop. MSP declared by the government encourage farmers covered by the study to adopt improved farming methods such as high-yielding varieties of seeds, organic manure, chemical fertilizer, pesticides, and improved harvesting methods, among others.

He said that all collectors in the cyclone-affected districts should develop paddy procurement plans, adding that seeds with an 80% subsidy should be provided to every farmer.

The Chief Minister also stated that if a house is flooded, the family should be given Rs 2,000 in cash and ration supplies, and assistance should be extended regardless of town or village.

In response to the death of one person in a wall collapse, he stated that the victim's family should receive all assistance within a week.

The Chief Minister also stated unequivocally that wherever there is livestock damage, steps should be taken immediately to provide compensation and estimate crop loss. The meeting was attended by State Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Chief Secretary K S Jawahar Reddy, and senior officials.
