The government has initiated Kisan Credit Card Scheme across the country keeping in mind the welfare of the farmers which plays an important role in a developing country like India. Under this scheme, a farmer can get Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and avail loans with lowest interest rate.

The Central Government is providing Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan).Through this Rs. 1.60 lakh loans are given to farmers without any guarantee. You can make KCC both online and offline where the annual interest rate is 4 percent.

How Kisan Credit Card Scheme Helps farmers?

The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) can actually help you to meet some of your urgent household expenses in times of need. However, the KCC scheme which provides loans to farmers for small loans is mainly to meet their financial needs related to crops. But, 10% of it can now be used by them to meet their domestic needs.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

- The age of applicant should be minimum 18 years and maximum 75 years. If the person taking the loan is a Senior Citizen, that is, it is necessary to be a co-applicant for the applicant above 60 years of age.

-The co-borrower should legally inherit the land

Before giving loan, the bank will verify the farmer. Through which the authority will check whether he is a farmer or not. Then his revenue record will be checked. In which it is seen that the farmer has no arrears in any other bank.
