Under the central government’s PM-KISAN scheme, farmers get Rs 6000 every year. The scheme was launched in 2019. All the farmer families across the country can avail the benefit of this scheme. It is important to mention that PM-Kisan is one of the most beneficial scheme of government of India. It has been very helpful to the farmers at the time of Coronavirus lockdown.
Under this scheme, an amount of Rs. 6000 is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary. Initially, the scheme brought only small and marginal farmers’ families under the purview of the scheme, who had only two hectares of land.
Now, after revising this rule, this scheme has been implemented for all the farmers of the country. However, some farmers are not included in this scheme. At present, 14.5 crore farmers of the country come under this scheme.
These Farmers Are Not Included in PM Kisan
Those who are excluded from PM-KISAN scheme include institutional land holders, peasant families holding constitutional posts, serving or retired officials and employees of the state or central government as well as public sector undertakings and government autonomous bodies.
Doctors, Engineers, and Lawyers as well as retired pensioners, such as those who are receiving monthly pension of more than Rs. 10000 and professionals paying income tax in the last assessment year are not eligible.
