Objective of PM Kisan scheme

PM-Kisan yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019. The scheme provides income support to farmers across the nation with cultivable land, subject to certain exclusions. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 per year is given in three installments of Rs 2000 each to the farmers. The scheme has been very helpful to farmers in this Coronavirus pandemic. Government had released the sixth installment in August 2020.
