After a major discrepancy in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, preparations have started to issue recovery notices to the ineligible. In Bareilly division, 55,243 such ineligible people were caught in the investigation, who had government jobs or good businesses and were still receiving PM Kisan installments in their accounts.
In this case, recovery notices have been issued to the ineligible by the District Agriculture Department. The amount will be deposited in the treasury of the Government of India.
Departmental sources say, three months ago, complaints of fraud in relation to the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi Yojana had reached the central government. The allegation was that there are a large number of people taking advantage of the PM KISAN scheme who are not farmers but government servants or are big business businessmen.
Despite this, the amount of Samman Nidhi scheme is reaching his account. The matter was investigated at the government level, in which when the report of the Samman Nidhi was sought at the district level, there was a big disclosure in the investigation. The maximum number of frauds were found in Bareilly.
In Uttar Pradesh, 2,34,010 income tax payers, 32,393 deceased, 3,86,250 wrong accounts were caught. In Bareilly division, a total of 55,243 people were identified who were wrongly taking benefit of Samman Nidhi. 16707 in Bareilly district, 15743 in Badaun, 12817 in Pilibhit and 9,976 in Shahjahanpur have been elected ineligible for the Samman Nidhi.
How did Govt identify the Wrongsters?
The government got the verification report of farmers taking Kisan Samman Nidhi done through Aadhaar card. As soon as Aadhaar numbers were entered into the bank account, all the accounts linked to Aadhaar were listed. In the investigation, 8,314 income taxpayers were found taking benefit of Kisan Samman Nidhi. In Bareilly division 5,336 such farmers were identified, in whose family more than one person was getting the benefit of this scheme. The accounts of 2189 dead people were still receiving the PM Kisan installments. 31,637 wrong accounts were also identified.
Deputy Agriculture Director Dhirendra Singh Chaudhary said that the verification of the recipients of Kisan Samman Nidhi was done at the district level. Farmer's name, father's or husband's name, village, Aadhar number, Khasra Khatauni were checked online. Then it was revealed. 55,243 ineligible were found in the circle. They are being given recovery notices.
