PM Kisan Yojana: Need More than Rs. 6000 per year? Here’s What You Can Do

If a farmer needs more money or Rs. 6000 is not sufficient for him then he must apply for Kisan Credit Card (KCC). With the help of KCC, the farmer can take loans at affordable interest rates that too without any guarantee.

PM Kisan, one of the most successful schemes of the Government of India provides financial help of Rs. 6000 per year to the farmers. The money is directly transferred to the beneficiary account in three installments. The last installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was released on 31st May 2022, wherein PM Modi transferred over Rs. 21000 crores to around 10 crore farmers.

But if a farmer needs more money or Rs. 6000 is not sufficient for him then he must apply for Kisan Credit Card (KCC). With the help of KCC, the farmer can take loans at affordable interest rates that too without any guarantee.

How to get a Kisan credit card

If you are registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, then just go to PM Kisan Yojana’s official website and under the farmers’ corner section look for ‘download Kisan Credit Card form’. Then download the form and fill in all required details and submit it.

It must be noted that there are three stages in which KCC can be availed –

  • If you are applying for KCC for the first time.

  • You want to increase the card limit.

  • Your Kisan credit card account is inactive and you want to activate it. Select the option in the form as per your requirement.

KCC Online process

If you are not registered under PM Kisan Yojana then go to the loans section on your bank’s official website

  • Click on “Apply Now” button

  • Fill in all your details carefully (Name, Mobile Number etc.)

  • Then click the submit button to apply online

  • The application processing time is of 3 to 4 working days

  • If the application is approved, an executive will contact you and tell you about the documents needed and where to visit for further steps.

KCC Offline process

If you want to apply offline then you will have to visit the nearest bank’s branch & apply for the Kisan credit card. Do not forget to carry all relevant documents with you at the time of registration.

Make sure to take advantage of the insurance facility available under the KCC scheme. For this, you will find two options - Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana. Through this, you will get an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.
