PM Kusum Yojana: This scheme provides solar pump sets on 90% subsidy to the farmers. PM Kusum Yojana was started by the Central Government with the objective that it will act as an advanced technology for generating electricity. Under this Central Government Scheme, 90% subsidy will be provided to farmer citizens to install solar pump sets in their land. With this, farmers will have to spend a total of 10 percent for installing solar pumps.
PM KUSUM aims to provide around 20 lakh solar pumps across the country to eradicate all the water problems of the farmers. As per the reports, the solar pump scheme is in full swing in the state of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
