PM Kusum Yojana: This scheme provides solar pump sets on 90% subsidy to the farmers. PM Kusum Yojana was started by the Central Government with the objective that it will act as an advanced technology for generating electricity. Along with this, through solar pumps, it will help farmers to irrigate crops and farmers will also allow citizens to generate electricity.

PM Kusum Yojana: This scheme provides solar pump sets on 90% subsidy to the farmers. PM Kusum Yojana was started by the Central Government with the objective that it will act as an advanced technology for generating electricity. Along with this, through solar pumps, it will help farmers to irrigate crops and farmers will also allow citizens to generate electricity.

This scheme has been implemented across the country by the Central Government to increase the income of farmers. Under this scheme, farmers can produce electricity by installing solar pump sets on their barren land and sell extra electricity directly to the government and therefore earn extra income. 

It has been provided an opportunity to all the farmers to do agricultural work and generate electricity. Under this scheme of Government of India, the sector of solar energy will be promoted. Farmers will be motivated to take up farming and they will be able to bring water to the fields for irrigation. 

How to Apply for PM KUSUM Yojana? 

Application for installation and availing subsidy for PM Kusum scheme are invited onlineAs soon as the government will start the second round of applications under PM Kusum Yojana, the link on the official website will become functional. All the interested farmers can apply through that link. 

PM Kusum Yojana Subsidy 

Under this Central Government Scheme, 90% subsidy will be provided to farmer citizens to install solar pump sets in their land. With this, farmers will have to spend a total of 10 percent for installing solar pumps. 

PM KUSUM aims to provide around 20 lakh solar pumps across the country to eradicate all the water problems of the farmers. As per the reports, the solar pump scheme is in full swing in the state of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
