Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana: Get 50% Subsidy for Buying Certified Wheat Seeds

Farmers no longer need to worry about buying seeds for wheat cultivation. The quality seeds will be made available on subsidy by the government. Often the farmers get worried as to how and from where to buy wheat seed, so that they can get good seed at low price. Keeping this in mind, the Rajasthan government has taken a new initiative for the farmers.

Farmers no longer need to worry about buying seeds for wheat cultivation. The quality seeds will be made available on subsidy by the government. Often the farmers get worried as to how and from where to buy wheat seed, so that they can get good seed at low price. Keeping this in mind, the Rajasthan government has taken a new initiative for the farmers. 

Under this scheme, the farmers will be given 50% subsidy for buying seeds. This will greatly benefit the farmers of Rajasthan.

Cost of the Seeds

Under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, wheat seeds are being provided to the farmers at 50% subsidy by the Rajasthan Agriculture Department. Under this, certified seeds will be provided to the farmer at an affordable rate. Wheat seeds will be provided to the farmers at the rate of Rs 17 per kg for Rs 680, whereas if the same wheat seed farmers buy from the market certified by Rajasthan State Seeds Corporation and National Seeds Corporation, then they will get 30 to 40 kg per kg.

How to Get Subsidy for Seeds 

This subsidy is being given by the Rajasthan Agriculture Department under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, in which farmers will have to submit the latest Jamabandi & Aadhar card to purchase seeds, after getting land-wise permits from the agricultural supervisors, seed from the cooperatives have to receive. 

How seeds will be given every year 

This time only 250 quintals of seed has been allotted which is much less than last year. Last year in the same season 700 quintals of seeds were allotted. If seen from this perspective, this year farmers will be able to distribute wheat seeds in less quantity. This may deprive many farmers of the benefit of translated seed. 

Farmers in UP to get Rs 2,000 per quintal on Buying Seeds 

With the aim of helping the farmers, the Yogi government of UP is giving maximum help up to Rs 2,000 per quintal under the seed grant scheme. The Haryana government is also running a scheme. At present, the UP cabinet has approved a proposal for giving grant on wheat & paddy seeds at par with other central schemes. 

The National Food Security Mission plans to expand the Green Revolution in Eastern India, till now 50% of the price for paddy to the farmers & a maximum of Rs.1,750 per quintal and Rs.1,600 per quintal for wheat have been given to the farmers under the Integrated Food Development Program.

The arrangement has been made. Now the state government will also give money on its behalf. On the distribution of paddy & wheat seeds, farmers will be given a grant of 50% of the price and a maximum of Rs.2,000 per quintal. 

500 per quintal subsidy on buying Wheat Seeds in Haryana 

In Haryana state, farmers get a subsidy of Rs 500 per quintal on the purchase of wheat seeds. This grant is given on those varieties which have been grown less than ten years.

The convenience of  farmers, Haryana Government has decided to extend the subsidy deadline on certified seed of HD-2967 variety of wheat till Rabi Marketing Season 2021-22. On the seeds of this variety of wheat, farmers will be provided grant as per rules. The HD-2967 variety of wheat was notified in October 2011. Its grant deadline will end in October 2021. In view of the good yield of this variety by the government, the grant time on its certified seed has been extended till the Rabi season 2021-22. A subsidy of Rs 500 per quintal is available on wheat.
