According to official sources, the meeting will be held at the Naveen Hotel in the city of Karnataka, where all stakeholders can express their expectations and thoughts on other issues related to the production, trade, and export of spices.

It provides a common platform for spice industry buyers and sellers to interact directly and establish effective business links.

The emphasis will be on chilli, turmeric, pepper, and ginger- the potential ones that are integrated into the farming community's livelihood in Karnataka's central and northeastern regions.

These areas are especially important for growing the geographically protected Byadagi chilli. Byadagi chilli is a well-known variety of chilli that is primarily grown in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is named after the town of Byadgi in the Karnataka district of Haveri.

In some Indian supermarkets and grocery stores, it is written as Bedgi. In addition, pepper and ajwain are grown in large quantities in the area.

Spices Buyer-Seller Meeting will provide a win-win situation for both growers and exporters, with the growers receiving a market for their produce as well as remunerative returns, and the exporters benefiting from long-term backward linkages for competitive sourcing of quality spices as well as strengthening trade ties with leading spice importers around the world.

Around 200 people representing exporters, traders, and farmers are expected to attend the meeting, which has become a key strategy of the Commerce Ministry, under which the Spices Board India operates to promote exports.
