For sowing in this Rabi season, advanced seeds of various crops are available at Rani Lakshmibai Central Agricultural University. By sowing these seeds, farmers can get good yield. In the view of the climate of Bundelkhand, Scientists of the university have prepared these seeds. Actually, 60 percent of the total production of pulses and oilseeds in Uttar Pradesh is from Bundelkhand. And our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has talked about doubling the income of farmers by the year 2022. For this, Central University has taken steps.
With an objective to double the farmers ‘income in Bundelkhand region, scientists of Rani Lakshmibai Central Agricultural University, under the direction of Vice Chancellor Dr. Arvind Kumar are doing some new researches and preparing high quality seeds according to the need. Director of Extension Education, Dr. S.S. Singh said, “There is a plan to take these seeds of advanced quality to the farmers. High quality pulses and oil seeds that can be cultivated with less water are also available.
Developed Advanced Varieties of Wheat and Gram
It includes RVG 202, 203, JG36, 14, 12, JAKI 9218 species of Chikpea, IPL 316 sepcies of lentils, IPFD 10-12 of green peas, IPFD 11-5 of white peas, AMAN, IPF 5-19 species, Giriraj of Mustard, NRCHV-101, HI1605, 1544 HD 2932 and Barley DWURV 137 species are available for farmers.
Sowing can be done in Rabi season to obtain the higher yield.
