India to Import 7 Best Apple Varieties from US Organic Fruit Company

IG International, a fruit importing firm has decided to import 7 varieties of apples from Stemlit Growers, the Washington-based leading organic fruit growing, packing and shipping company.

IG International, a fruit importing firm has decided to import 7 varieties of apples from Stemlit Growers, the Washington-based leading organic fruit growing, packing and shipping company. 

This step has been taken keeping in mind the increased demand for apples. As in India, the consumption and demand of apples go up in winters. 

Therefore, IG International will now be importing total 7 varieties of exceptional quality apples from Stemilt Growers. 

Their aim is to import 20,000 MT of apples in the new season. In the last season, IG International imported 7 different varieties of apples from Stemilt Growers including Red Delicious, Royal Gala, Granny Smith, Pinata, Pink lady, Honeycrisp and the organic variety. 

For Health Conscious Indians, it will also import organic apples to fulfill their preferences. IG International completes 10 years of its strong and successful association with Stemlit Growers in this season. 

Tarun Arora, Director, IG International said, “Over the last few years, India’s consumption of international varieties of apples has risen significantly. We witness a drastic increase in the demand for apples in the country especially, in winters. The fruit has always been on the recommendation list of health experts because of the nutritional properties it contains. Keeping this in mind, we decided to import as many as 7 varieties of apples from Stemilt Growers to India. 

Commenting on the occasion, West Mathison President of Stemilt Growers said, “We have been associated with IG International for 10 years now and it gives us immense pleasure to have contributed to their growth journey. Stemilt Growers’ president West Mathison and export account manager William Young recently travelled to India, to mark the start of the Mumbai-headquartered company’s new season apple import campaign. 

Touring IG International’s distribution facilities in Mumbai, Bangalore and Cochin, the visit celebrated a strong and successful partnership forged over the past decade.
