Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has reduced the time limit for the testing process of tractors used for Agriculture from nine months to just 75 working days. This development comes as a big gift for the agriculture sector during the celebration of the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" in the 75th year of India’s Independence.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on the directions of the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar, the Ministry / Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has taken this positive initiative in order to promote mechanization in the agriculture sector in the country and to ensure the availability of suitable tractors for the farmers.
In order to implement the new, effective and speedy testing process of tractor testing, revised guidelines have been issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to the Central Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (CFMTTI), Budni, and other concerned officers, which will be effective from 15th August 2022.
After purchasing the tractor, the farmer has no problems and the tractor is free of all hazards, so tractors are officially inspected at the Central Government Institute Central Agricultural Machinery Training and Testing Institute (CFMTTI), Budni (Madhya Pradesh). In which it is stated what the tractor lacks and what its advantages are. Only after this is the tractor put on the market for sale. Although all companies inspect the tractors at their level, the Budni report is required.
List of Tractor Tests in CFMTTI, Budni
1. PTO Lab Test:
Various instruments are used to measure the tractor's PTO speed during this test. The tractor is used in a variety of situations. The PTO speed that the company claims to provide is being investigated to determine whether or not the farmer will receive it.
2. Draw Bar Test:
To assess the tractor's pulling power, the drawbar is attached to a heavy vehicle and the tractor is driven on a concrete road.
3. Brake Test
The brakes are tested by driving the tractor on the road and observing how the brake works, how quickly it works, and so on.
4. Hydraulic Test
This test determines the tractor's hydraulic lifting capacity and hydraulic speed.
5. Visibility Test
The tractor is parked in one location for this test, and visibility is assessed from six different angles.
6. Gravity Test
The gravity of the tractor is detected using instruments in various positions during the Gravity Test.
7. Turning Ability Test
The turning radius of the tractor is measured using modern equipment in this test.
8. Vibration Test
It is tested in this test how much the tractor engine vibrates.
Following all of these tests, all of the tractor's parts are opened and individually inspected. Information is provided to the tractor company's owners regarding which parts are manufactured in accordance with standards and which are not.
Only after passing these tests at the Central Agricultural Machinery Training and Testing Institute (CFMTTI), Budni (Madhya Pradesh), can a tractor be sold in the market. The Central Government's decision to reduce the time limit will benefit both the farmer brothers and tractor companies.
