42,000 Custom Hiring Centres:
The Central Government has set up 42000 Custom Hiring Centres in the country. The objective of these centres is to provide modern agricultural equipment on rent to small and marginal farmers of the country.
Farm Machinery Bank Scheme Giving 80% Subsidy:
As we know that the central government has set a target of doubling the income of farmers by the year 2022. Under this, the 'Farm Machinery Bank' scheme has been started for the farmers. Under this scheme, up to 10 lakhs of instruments can be kept. In this 80 percent grant is payable. 20 percent of the amount can be raised by the farmers group itself or by a bank loan.
How farmers can get agricultural machinery?
It is to be noted that the government has launched the "CHC-Farm Machinery" Mobile App for Renting Agricultural Equipment, so as to allow farmers to get agricultural machinery easily. The mobile app will help the farmers to easily get all kinds of agricultural machinery related to agriculture which includes rental tractor through CHC-Agricultural Machinery Custom Hiring Centres in their area. The government has also named the mobile app of CHC Farm Machinery. This app is available in 12 languages like Hindi, English, Urdu etc and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
