Subsidy on Irrigation Equipment: How to Apply & What Documents Will Be Required

Irrigation equipment are being distributed to farmers on a subsidised basis again following the elections under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Farmers in the state are eligible to apply.

Rabi sowing season has begun. Crops are being sown in the fields by farmers. Along with seeding the crop, irrigation is also required. Farmers are being urged by the government to use drip and sprinkler irrigation systems to irrigate more land with less water. The Madhya Pradesh government has issued an invitation for applications to offer agricultural irrigation equipment to farmers on a subsidized basis under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. These applications are for districts that had their applications halted due to by-elections.

What irrigation equipment will be eligible for a subsidy? 

Drip and sprinkler set grants are available to farmers in the districts of the state for which applications are being accepted. The State's Horticulture and Food Processing Department, Madhya Pradesh, is accepting applications from farmers in the state for a subsidy on various types of agricultural irrigation equipment under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Subsidies are available for the Kisan Drip System Mini, Micro Sprinkler Set, and Portable Sprinkler Set under the plan. 

Farmers In These Districts Are Eligible To Apply 

The Madhya Pradesh Horticulture Department has set objectives for the districts listed below. 

Ratlam, Neemuch, Burhanpur, Ashoknagar, Barwani, Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Betul, Bhopal,  Chhindwara, Damoh, Dewas, Jabalpur, Jhabua, Katni, Khandwa, Khargone,  Mandsaur,  Narsinghpur, Neemuch, Raisen, Rajgarh, Sagar, Sehore, These targets have been given for the farmers of Shajapur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Ujjain, Vidisha, Anuppur, Niwari, Umaria, Harda, Damoh, Satna, Rewa, Sheopur. The general, scheduled castes, and scheduled tribes in these districts are eligible to apply. 

How Much Subsidy Will Be Provided On Agricultural Irrigation Machines? 

A subsidy of 55 percent of the unit cost is granted to all small and marginal farmers on sprinkler sets under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY). Aside from that, all other types of farmers receive a 45 percent subsidy on their unit costs. At the same time, all small and marginal farmers who use the drip irrigation system receive a 55 percent rebate on the unit cost. Aside from that, all other types of farmers receive a 45 percent subsidy on their unit costs. 

When And Where To Apply For Irrigation Equipment  On Subsidy? 

Farmers in the above-mentioned districts can apply starting at 11 a.m. on November 16, 2021. Applications for the released targets can be filed for up to 10% more than the assigned goal to the districts. The Department of Horticulture and Food Processing in Madhya Pradesh is accepting applications. All of the applications may be completed entirely online. Farmers can apply for this by registering at the Madhya Pradesh Farmers Subsidy Tracking System https://mpfsts.mp.gov.in/mphd/#/, which is run by the Farmer Horticulture Department. 

Documents Needed To Apply For Agricultural Irrigation Machine Subsidies 

· The farmer's Aadhar card is required. 

· A copy of the bank passbook's first page. 

· Caste Certificate (only for SC and ST farmers). 

· Electricity connection certificate, similar to a bill. 

· OTP requires a mobile phone number.

Farmers may learn more about the plan by visiting the Horticulture Department's website at https://mpfsts.mp.gov.in. Aside from that, you might contact the horticultural department of the development block or district. 

Farmers In Balaghat District Are Also Eligible 

The Horticulture Department is providing a subsidy to small-marginal farmers in  Balaghat district under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana at a fixed cost of 55 percent for modern drip irrigation systems and sprinkler (fountain) irrigation systems, compared to 45 percent for large farmers. being provided at a fixed cost. Govt. has urged farmers to use drip irrigation and sprinkler systems to increase yield while using less water.
