Bhushan Ji received the Padma Shri award by President Ramnath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan last year.

#FarmerTheBrand campaign is an initiative by Krishi Jagran under which progressive farmers across the country are being given the opportunity to tell people about their products. In today’s Krishi Jagran Facebook Live, you will get to know about Padma Shri Bharat Bhushan Tyagi's journey and experience in the field of agriculture.

Progressive farmer Bharat Bhushan Tyagi, a resident of Bihata village of Siana Tehsil, Bulandshahar district, has his own way of doing organic farming. For many farmers, it is a big challenge to earn more profit or income at a low cost. But for Bhushan Ji, it is not a challenge but a way to progress further. He is not only doing organic farming successfully but also training thousands of farmers at his farm. At present, farmers from India as well as abroad come to Bhushan Ji to take the training.

It is important to mention that he provides free facilities to the trainees who come and live with him during the training period. The objective is clear that farmers have to be self-reliant (Atmanirbhar). Bharat Bhushan Tyagi has received many awards for his contribution in the field of agriculture including the Dharti Putr Award.

When and How Bharat Bhushan Tyagi started doing organic farming?

Padma Shri Bharat Bhushan Tyagi told that after completing his B.Sc in Mathematics, Physical and Chemistry from Delhi University, he wanted to work but his father disagreed so he had to return back to the village. He further said that students who do their studies in agriculture are also not interested in farming. And a farmer also does not want his son to become a farmer – in all such situations how will the agriculture sector develop. Bhushan Ji revealed that he had to face many challenges while doing organic farming but he did not lose hope and continued farming with full dedication and now is one of the renowned farmers in India.
