NABARD to Fund Reconstruction of Schools Hit by Flood in Karnataka
An Apex Development Financial Institution, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, popularly known as NABARD, has agreed to fund the reconstruction of the 3,386 government primary and high schools that were hit by the floods in 26 districts of North Karnataka. The institution will be releasing a fund of Rs 758.073 crore for the same.

The institution will be releasing a fund of Rs 758.073 crore for the same.
In order to continue to project, the Department of Primary and Secondary Education issued an order stating that the Deputy Directors of Public Instruction must conduct a spot survey of the schools, draw estimated with the Public Works Department, seek administrative approval and submit the reports to Commissioner of the Department of Public Instruction. All of this needs to done within 15 days or else NABARD will cancel the approval.
