7th Pay Commission Latest News: There is good news for the Central Government Employees. As the employees are likely to receive pay hike after Holi, i.e., in March, the Central Government is expected to announce an increase in DA for employees and retirees in the near future. Simultaneously, the DA Arrears money, which has been pending for 18 months, is expected to be received on Holi. 

A 3% Hike To Be Implemented

Let us inform you that the government will raise the DA by 3% this time, bringing the DA from 31% to 34% for the employees.

The December 2021 AICPI Index has dropped one point, according to the AICPI Index. If we look at the average DA index, which is now 351.33, we can see that the DA of employees could rise to 34.04% this year.

DA To Account for 34% of the Total. 

If your base income is Rs. 18,000, you will be eligible for DA at a rate of 34%. Your annual pay could rise by Rs. 73,440 as a result of this. The annual wage rise, on the other hand, will be Rs. 6,480. 

Arrears To Be Settled Once & For All

According to speculations in the media, the administration may announce the increased Dearness Allowance in March. Because several states are holding elections at the moment, the rule of conduct is in effect, and the increasing DA arrears are not being reported. The government can make a one-time settlement of the DA's money, according to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM).

Total of 48 Lakh Employees & 68 Lakh Retirees To Get DA Benefit

A total of 48 lakh employees and 68 lakh retirees will benefit from the hike in DA. The government is expected to make an announcement before the next election.

The Central Government and the employees have been arguing for a long time on the reinstatement of the pending DA. However, no final decision has yet been made. The subject is expected to be discussed with the Cabinet Secretary in the coming days.
