Amul Introduced Ginger and Tulsi Milk after the Haldi Milk

When the Corona Virus war started in India Amul company has introduced the Haldi milk to counter the attack of Corona and to boost immunity in the body. The Ministry of Ayush issued guidelines in the wake of the health crisis in the country that also included consumption of Haldi Doodh which is also known as turmeric milk or golden milk to keep their immunity level up.

The Ministry of Ayush issued guidelines in the wake of the health crisis in the country that also included consumption of Haldi Doodh which is also known as turmeric milk or golden milk to keep their immunity level up.

The Ayurveda have been recommending turmeric as the best compound to fight infective diseases both as a fresh and as dried spice powder, to promote health. Turmeric is used for multiple purposes including the remedies to brighten the skin tone. It is also referred to as a superfood.

The turmeric milk is loaded with antioxidants that protect cells from damage, fight off the diseases and infections to contribute the overall health. Have the strong anti-inflammatory properties that may reduce inflammation and joint pain. It is also said that the golden milk may help preserve memory and reduce the decline of brain function due to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. The Golden milk is rich in calcium and Vitamin D that contribute to a strong skeleton reducing the risk of bone diseases such as osteopenia and osteoporosis.

The Dairy giant Amul has launched ‘HaldiDoodh’ in April 2020. The ‘HaldiDoodh’ or turmeric milk that is also known as Golden milk is known for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s ready to drink beverages available at Rs 30 per 200 ml can.

Now in view of the good response from the consumer and need of the hour, the Amul again introduced the Ginger and Tulsi Milk. Amul launched ‘Ginger’ and ‘Tulsi’ milk to boost immunity amid Covid-19 pandemic.  Amul Managing Director R.S. Sodhi reasoned that since a coronavirus vaccine is still to come, their new milk variants will ensure people have enough immunity till then to fight the deadly virus.

As Tulsi or Holy Basil is considered sacred, and rightly so, owing to its diverse healing properties. It has anti-microbial and anti-allergic property, so it is extremely useful for treating bacterial and fungal infections as well immunological disorders like allergies and asthama.Similarly, Ginger is used so widely in Ayurveda that it is an entire medicine chest in itself. There is an ayurvedic sutra (verse) that says that everyone should eat fresh ginger just before lunch and dinner to enhance digestion.

These drinks can be consumed regularly by any age group at any hour of the day. They come at a price of just Rs 25 for 125mL easy-open-end can. The packs have shelf life of 6 months at room temperature.
