The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is accepting online applications for the position of Veterinary Officer/Block Veterinary Officer, Class-B, Class-I (Jr. Grade) within the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department. Those interested can submit an application for open positions at apsc.nic.in till August 26.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science degree in order to apply for Veterinary Officer or Block Veterinary positions (B.V.Sc & A.H). Final candidates selected for the position of Veterinary Officer/Block Veterinary Officer would get a salary ranging from Rs. 30,000 to 1,10,000, grade pay of Rs. 12,700, and a pay band (PB- 4).
The 162 open positions for Block Veterinary Officers and Veterinary Officers are the focus of the APSC recruitment effort.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: As of January 1, 2022, the candidates should not be younger than 21 years old or older than 38 years old.
Required Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H.) degree from an institution of higher learning that is recognized.
Application Fee: Candidates from the General/EWS category must pay a fee of Rs 285.40, while those from the SC/ST/OBC/MOBC categories must pay a fee of Rs 185.40. The application cost is Rs 35.40 for applicants who fall within the BPL and PWBD categories.
