Bank Holidays in July 2022: Banks To be Closed for 14 Days This Month; Check Out the Full List Here

The Reserve Bank of India, or RBI, has already published a schedule of bank holidays for July 2022. July 2022 bank holidays: Banks will be closed for 14 days beginning July 1.

At the start of each year, the central bank compiles a monthly schedule of bank holidays, according to which banks in specified regions stay closed. This year, there are up to 14 bank holidays in July. It should be noted that many bank holidays are regional and may vary from state to state and from bank to bank. 

As previously stated, there are 14 bank holidays in July.

Banks in India, however, will not close for 14 days because eight of these are region-specific. On July 1, for example, there is a bank holiday in Odisha, but banks in the rest of the country will be open. 

This list contains leaves classified as 'Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act,' 'Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and 'Banks' Closing of Accounts.' According to the list, different branches are closed at different times, depending on the festival or event in the region.

Meanwhile, in July, there are seven-weekend leaves. There will be 15 bank holidays in July if we include both regional holidays and weekend offs.

List of Leaves as per the Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act:

July 1: Kang (Rathajatra)/ Ratha Yatra — Bhubaneshawar

July 7: Kharchi Puja — Agartala

July 9: ld-Ul-Ad’ha (Bakrid) — Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram; Banks will also be shut across the country as this is the second Saturday of the month

July 11: Eid-ul-Azha — Srinagar, Jammu

July 13: Bhanu Jayanti — Gangtok

July 14: Beh Dienkhlam — Shillong

July 16: Harela — Dehradun

July 26: Ker Puja — Agartala.

July 10: Second Sunday

July 17: Third Sunday

July 23: Fourth Saturday

July 24: Fourth Sunday

July 31: Fifth Sunday.
