Delhi CM launches ‘Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana’ for Families affected by Covid-19

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday 6th July, launched a new social security scheme called “Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana” for the families that are affected by coronavirus disease. CM Kejriwal said that we have launched this scheme for all those children, who have lost their parent’s & families or lost their sole breadwinners to Covid-19.

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday 6th July, launched a new social security scheme called “Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana” for the families that are affected by coronavirus disease. CM Kejriwal said that we have launched this scheme for all those children, who have lost their parent’s & families or lost their sole breadwinners to Covid-19.

While announcing the scheme “Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana” CM Kejriwal said that Delhi faced four coronavirus waves, but last one was the most difficult one. This wave affected almost many family & many people have lost their near and dear ones. Many children were orphaned, while there are many families who lost their sole breadwinner. Being a responsible government, we have come up with this social security scheme”.

Under “Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana” ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to the families that lost a member to the Covid-19 infections. It also promises to give another Rs. 2500 per month to the families in case the Covid-19 victim was the only sole breadwinner. 

CM Kejriwal said, there is a dedicated portal launched which can be used to apply for the financial assistance in such cases. “Our representatives will visit such families and help them in filling the applications”, and those who are applying for the scheme will not be attacked. “I want to tell the representatives to not to conduct scrutiny of the applications and If the families lack any document, we will help them in obtaining it. Don’t find faults with their documents”.

The main aim is to provide the financial assistance to bereaved families at the earliest. Previously the Delhi Government notified the “Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana” on 22nd June.
