The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (DA&FW) successfully executed Special Campaign 2.0  in line with the directives set forth by the Government of India, which encompassed a comprehensive drive for cleanliness and initiatives to augment efficiency in decision-making (IEDM) across all Subordinate/Attached Offices, Autonomous Bodies, and field units throughout the diverse regions of India.

This campaign spanned from November 2022 to August 2023, and its accomplishments are noteworthy.

Notable Achievements of Special Campaign 2.0

During the period from November 2022 to August 2023, the Department has exhibited remarkable progress in reducing backlog and addressing public grievances. A total of 106,774 public grievances and 464 public grievance appeals have been successfully resolved. Additionally, 23 references from Members of Parliament (MPs), 5 Parliamentary Assurances, 5 State Government References, and 5 Prime Minister's Office (PMO) References have been effectively handled and concluded.

As an integral component of Special Campaign 2.0, the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare has adopted and fully implemented e-office 7.0 across its various offices. This technological advancement has streamlined administrative processes and enhanced overall efficiency.

Furthermore, the Department has conducted a comprehensive review of the Delegation of Powers, which has been subsequently modified in the fiscal year 2022-23.

Best Practice: Promoting Swachhta (Cleanliness)

In an exemplary initiative under the Swachhta Campaign, the Department has proactively embraced a cleanliness drive. This campaign extends to the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, including its Attached and Subordinate offices. The commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment underscores the Department's dedication to public welfare and its responsibilities to promote a cleaner, healthier India.

These achievements are a testament to its dedication to the welfare of the nation's agricultural sector and its stakeholders.
