Easy PF Fund Withdrawals with UMANG App: A Step-by-Step Guide

Every employee's salary makes a contribution to the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). After retirement, PF account holders can withdraw the entire amount deposited with EPFO; however, EPFO account holders can also withdraw funds in an emergency. With the help of the government's Umang app, you may now withdraw money from your PF account while sitting at home.

People often withdraw funds from their PF accounts to pay for vital necessities such as housing maintenance, schooling, wedding expenses, and medical expenses for themselves or family members. The Umang app now allows you to withdraw PF without having to visit the bank or the PF office multiple times.

It is important to remember that linking your Universal Account Number (UAN) to your Aadhaar is required in order to make an easy withdrawal of your PF funds via the Umang app. If you want to withdraw your PF funds, you must follow the processes outlined below.

Steps to Withdraw PF Funds Through UMANG

Step 1: Firstly, download & register “Umang” app using your registered mobile number.

Step 2: Click on EPFO option.

Step 3: Enter UAN number by choosing the raise claim option.

Step 4: Now, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number in EPFO. Enter the OTP in the asked box.

Step 5: Then, choose type of withdrawal from your PF account.

Step 6: After this, fill out the form and submit it.

Step 7: You will now receive a reference number for the withdrawal request.

Step 8: In the end, you will receive the withdrawal amount in your account within 3 to 5 days.

Remember that you must have a valid and authentic reason to withdraw funds from your PF account.
