The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore released the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 (GATE 2024) on March 16, 2024. As per the institute's announcement, the link to access the GATE result 2024 activated and can be found at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Earlier this announcement, the institute had made available the GATE master question paper and final answer keys for all papers on March 15.
Conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024, GATE 2024 provided candidates with an opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge. The response sheets were published on February 15, followed by the release of answer keys and question papers on February 19. During the period from February 22 to 25, candidates were permitted to challenge the answer keys if they found discrepancies.
The scores achieved in GATE 2024 will serve as a gateway for admission to MTech courses and for recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The process of result declaration involves normalization, wherein the marks obtained by candidates across different sessions are converted into GATE scores to ensure fairness and equity.
In 2023, GATE saw a massive registration of almost 6.70 lakh candidates across 29 papers. Over 5.17 lakh candidates sat for the exam, held at 500+ centers nationwide, showing an impressive 77% attendance rate.
