Good News! Get Rs 2500 with 20 Pongal Gift Items On This Date

The Popular Tamil Festival Thai Pongal will be celebrated from Friday 14th January 2022 to Monday 17th January 2022. During this festival, the Tamil Nadu government has announced to release some special Pongal gift package for the people.

The Popular Tamil Festival Thai Pongal will be celebrated from Friday 14th January 2022 to Monday 17th January 2022. During this festival, the Tamil Nadu government has announced to release some special Pongal gift package for the people.  

Chief Minister MK Stalin had ordered the distribution of the following 20 items to family cardholders and families living in Sri Lankan Tamil rehabilitation camps before the forthcoming Thai Pongal in 2022. The date for the distribution of this Pongal gift has also been announced. 

The Pongal prize announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu will be given from January 3, 2022. This package includes Pongal ingredients and these are as follows: 

  • Rice

  • Jaggery

  • Cashew

  • Raisin

  • Cardamom

  • Moong Daal 

  • Ghee

  • Turmeric Powder

  • Chili Powder 

  • Coriander Powder

  • Mustard

  • Cumin

  • Pepper

  • Tamarind

  • Lentils

  • Semolina

  • Wheat

  • Black Gram

  • Salt

  • Sugarcane

It was announced that a total of 20 items will be distributed to 2,15,48,060 households at a cost of Rs 1,088 crore.  

As a next step, the government is to purchase ghee. The DMK Dairy Minister SM Nasser told reporters that this has paved the way for a large amount of revenue for the co-operatives. 

There is no doubt that Rs.2500 will be given along with this Thai Pongal gift package. It is noteworthy that the project was started by former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy in the interest of the people as many people lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the scheme, rice cardholders were provided financial assistance and ration kits (Pongal Gift). 

In the coming year, the Pongal gift will be given to the people from January 3 2022,. The aim is to celebrate the festival with unparalleled joy than ever before.
