Rainfall will begin on June 7 in the southern peninsular region, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Meanwhile, northeast India, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim will experience heavy rains over the next five days, according to the forecast.
According to data provided by the Indian Meteorological Department, the national capital experienced searing summer heat on Saturday, with temperatures in certain sections of the city exceeding 47 degrees Celsius. Mungeshpur reported a maximum temperature of 47.1 degrees Celsius, while Pitampura recorded 46.5 degrees Celsius, according to the Met Office.
The meteorological station at Najafgarh, on the other hand, reported a maximum temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius. The greatest temperature was 47.5 degrees Celsius in nearby Ganganagar, Rajasthan, while 46.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Hisar, Haryana.
Heatwave conditions are predicted in scattered areas throughout the northwest and central India over the next two-three days, according to the IMD's Saturday report.

According to the IMD, a heat wave will hit Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi on June 4 and 5. IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi for today. From June 4 to 6, districts in Vidarbha, Jharkhand, interior Odisha, and Chhattisgarh may see scorching conditions, according to the weather office. From June 4 to 8, heatwave conditions will be present in south Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh.
From June 7 onwards, the Met Office predicts an increase in rainfall activity over South Peninsular India. During the next five days, it is expected to rain heavily in Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim.
