Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week launched the physical distribution of property cards under the Survey of Villages & Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas, popularly known as SVAMITVA scheme. Now people living in rural areas can easily avail loans from banks/financial institutions on their village property under PM Swamitva Yojana. PM also launched E Gram Swaraj Portal or eGramSwaraj App on the National Panchayati Raj Day along with this yojana. Lets know about this scheme and its benefits in detail;

PM Swamitva Yojana Online Registration/Application Process 2020

In order to register or apply for PM Swamitva scheme follow the steps given below;

  • Go to the Official Website of egramswaraj - https://egramswaraj.gov.in/

  • On the Home Page, click the New User Registration link.

  • Registration Form page will be displayed on the screen. Now enter your basic details like name, address, mobile number & mail id and the land related details in the application form.

  • Verify all the details and submit the online application form. After completion you will get an acknowledgement slip.

Eligibility Criteria for Swamitva Yojana

  • A person should be a native of India.

  • They must belong to rural area.

Under this scheme, Villagers will get records & ownership certificates of possession of their property.

How does Swamitva Yojana work?

Under this scheme, the residential land would be measured/calculated through drones. The drone will create a digital map of each property within the village limits. In addition, the limit of every revenue block will also be fixed - which house is in which region, it can be accurately measured by drone technology. In this way, the state governments will make a property card for every house in the village.

What is the mandatory information that a person should give when registering for property card?

A person should provide valid Aadhaar Card Information along with his Mobile Number Linked with Aadhaar.
