Job Description:
Job Position: Research Associate (Crop Science/ Horticulture Science and allied disciplines)
Required Qualification:
With Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. degree in any discipline of Crop Science/Horticulture Science and allied disciplines.
OR
With Master’s Degree: Master’s degree in any discipline of Crop Science/Horticulture Science and allied disciplines with 4 years/ 5 years of bachelor’s Degree having 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 3 years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NASS rated (>_4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.
Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge of computer applications for scientific and office work, such as MS Office, database programs, Internet usage, and statistical software
- Work history with public research funding organizations.
- Experience with SOEs, UCs, Project Support, ITMU of ICAR Institutes, Commercialization in ICAR Institutes, and Assistance to Institute in Administrative/Financial Aspects.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on 01.06.2022
Salary range: Combined salaries of Rs. 54,000 for Ph.D. holders and Rs. 49,000 for master's degree holders per month. The HRA and other benefits will be governed by the ICAR's current rules. No modifications will be made. The emolument shall be governed by the rules that are periodically issued by ICAR.
