Bhartiya Agro-Economic Research Center (BAERC) and Bhartiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) is organizing an International Conference on Harnessing Indian Agriculture for Indigenous and Global Prosperity on 22 & 23 July 2022 at National Agricultural Science Complex, ICAR, New Delhi.

India is fortunate to have a rich agricultural history and cultural heritage. Due to the special quality of cohesion for shifting generations, it was able to not only survive but develop despite extraordinary paradigm transformations. India is now commemorating the illustrious 75 years of freedom with Azadi Ka Amrut Mohotsav.

Although India has a phenomenal legacy of cultural and scientific discoveries, innovations, and societal development, the civilization has undergone a paradigm shift in the last 75 years in relation to its needs. However, India has not only overcome modernization's challenges but has also extended equal support to the world's humanity.

Agriculture is one of these sectors in which the country has excelled, progressing from a food importer to a world-class exporter. The 75th anniversary of independence is a saga of dedicated hard work by policymakers, scientists, farmers, industry, and others for the betterment of future generations. As a result, there are numerous achievements to be celebrated, experiments to be completed, lessons to be learned, and stories to be told, and thus be evaluated.

The current international conference is one such small attempt, limited to the agricultural sector, to empathetically reflect on the past 75 years in order to chart a course for a bright future. The event will assess the impact of Indian agricultural development on the domestic and global arenas following independence. Attempts will be made in the future to carve a comprehensive policy for the agricultural sector's sustainable development. The conference will be divided into sessions that will include dialogues, panel discussions, expert presentations, and group discussions on the following themes.
