LIVE UPDATES: 11th National KVK Conference 2020 Starts in Delhi Today

The 11th edition of National KVK (Krishi Vigyan Kendra) Conference on ‘Empowering Youth for Technology Led Farming’, organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research has started at ICAR Campus, Pusa, New Delhi today ( 28th February) and will continue till 1st March. The three-day national conference of KVK will mainly highlight technology-led farming and youth entrepreneurship through agriculture which will be attended by all the KVKs across India.

The 11th edition of National KVK (Krishi Vigyan Kendra) Conference on ‘Empowering Youth for Technology Led Farming’, organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research has started at ICAR Campus, Pusa, New Delhi today ( 28th February) and will continue till 1st March. The three-day national conference of KVK will mainly highlight technology-led farming and youth entrepreneurship through agriculture which will be attended by all the KVKs across India.

The Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar; Union Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Kailash Chaudhary are some of the prime dignitaries who will be attending this huge event. 

KVK is not a representative of the wealthy farmers, but it represents the farmer community as a whole, said Narendra Singh Tomar while addressing the audience gathered at NASA Complex, PUSA.

Dr. A K Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension) of ICAR; Dr. Trilochan Mahapatra, DG (Director General) of ICAR  will be also present at the national conference. 

“With the help of FPOs, KVK’s can be a big help for the farmer community. Moreover, the government has announced that it will establish 1000 new FPOs and has granted a budget of Rs 6000 crores. Every block must have at least 2 FPO’s”, said the Agriculture Minister.
