Mother Dairy Announces Business Expansion into Bakery and Confectionery

Mother Dairy has announced its plan to venture into bakery & confectionery business adding that in Delhi NCR the company will launch 3 varieties of bread.

Mother Dairy recently announced its plan to venture into the bakery and confectionery business and said in Delhi NCR it will launch three varieties of bread. 

The new three bread variants are Brown bread, sandwich bread, and milk & fruit break said Sangram Chaudhary, managing director, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Private Limited. 

After the first phase response, the company will expand the reach of the new product. Under the first phase, 1,800 stores in Delhi NCR will have this new category. With the new products, the company is planning to make 100 crore business. 

“This is the first time we are entering in bakery segment. We wanted to be very sure and have placed the product in 1,800 outlets which are visited by customers every day. We will assess the response and in phase 2, we will expand out of Delhi NCR,” said Sanjay Sharma. 

The company will further expand its business in retail. Besides, the company is also planning to launch six new products in the nutrition and immunity category in the coming time. 

The recently announced bread portfolio will be accessible in four SKUs — Sandwich bread 500 gms pack to retail for Rs 30, sandwich bread 700 gms pack will be accessible for Rs 40, earthy colored bread in 400 gms bundling to cost Rs 30 and foods grown from the ground bread will be accessible at Rs 15 for a 150 gms bundling.  

As of now, Britannia, Bonn Group, English Oven, Harvest Gold are a portion of the bread creators in India. Gujarat-based dairy major Amul had likewise as of late launched its bread extend in select urban cities
