Planning to Visit Bank or Post Office? Check out the List of Holidays & Working Days First

All delivery post offices and other significant post offices will be operational to the extent necessary to support this public campaign, according to the Ministry.

The Ministry of Communications was told that all post offices will be open on holidays that fall before Independence Day in 2022. All post offices will be open on holidays that fall before Independence Day 2022 to help with Tiranga sales and distribution as part of the #HarGharTiranga Campaign, the India Post Office tweeted.

All delivery post offices and other significant post offices will be operational to the extent necessary to support this public campaign, according to the Ministry.

On the public holidays of August 7th, 9th, and 14th, special arrangements will be made for the sale of national flags at least one counter at Post Offices.

The delivery of the national flags in each delivery post office will also get special arrangements.

Banks to remain closed on these days

For various holidays, including Raksha Bandhan, Patriot's Day, Second Saturday, and Sunday, banks will be closed on August 11, 12, 13, and 14.

August 11: Raksha Bandhan — Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, and Shimla

August 12: Raksha Bandhan — Kanpur, and Lucknow

August 13: Patriot’s Day — Imphal

August 14: Sunday

Banks in other cities, besides Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, and Shimla, will be open on August 11.

On August 12, all banks in India will be open as usual. Banks only in Kanpur and Lucknow will be closed.
