As PM Modi mentioned in his earlier interaction with Madhya Pradesh farmers, today PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was transferred in the bank accounts of the farmers.

Here is the detailed information about PM’s today’s interaction with farmers and about the event.

Digitally Deposited PM Kisan Nidhi to 9 Crore Farmers

Today on the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji Jayanti, Prime Minister addressed farmers of the country, and digitally deposited a total of 18,000 Crore Rupees in the bank accounts 9 Crore farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Interaction with Farmers

Prime Minister interacted with farmers of different states and asked about their problems and if they are taking the benefits of government schemes for farmers, and also about how they get benefitted under different policies of PM-Kisan scheme for farmers.

Farmers being Misguidin by Some Elements

While interacting with a farmer from Uttar Pradesh, PM said, “Some elements are misguiding and provoking farmers that they will lose their lands because of contract farming”, and PM Modi also thanked that farmer for clarifying this misinformation that the land be of farmer only.

Kisan Credit Card

A farmer from Orissa mentioned about various benefits he is getting from the Kisan Credit Card, including availability of loan at low-interest rates and other benefits. And he also mentioned about the loan he took at the lower interest rate directly from that bank through Kisan Credit Card instead of opting for the loan from intermediaries.

Busted Lies about the New Farm Laws

After the video conferencing interaction with Madhya Pradesh Farmers, once again PM Modi spoke about the lies spread by different sources and political parties regarding the new farm laws. PM Modi said, “Lies are being spread that under the new farm laws, farmers will lose their land”. Modi said, “Same people who are sitting in support of farmers’ protest today, provoking them and misleading them are the  ones who send farmers to the jail on the name of protecting the environment if they hurt the wild animals unintentionally for saving their crop.”

Central Benefits Couldn’t Reach Bengal

PM Modi criticized Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government for blocking the central benefits from reaching to the Bengal farmers, he also added that he regrets that more than 70 Lakh farmers and my siblings from West Bengal couldn’t get the benefit of this scheme. “More than 23 Lakh farmers from West Bengal applied for the scheme, but the state government blocked the verification process for so long,” said the PM.

And once again, Prime Mister cleared all the confusions related to the new farm laws and assured farmers that these new laws are beneficial for them. Their land is safe; they can sell their produce wherever they want at the right price. And these farm reforms are necessary for the poor farmers, who are getting poorer because of the rule of earlier governments. And he also indicted for the opposition of misleading the farmers and playing a trick on them.

In the end, PM Modi said, “In many parts of the country, contract farming has been tried and applied. It has been done in the dairy sector too. And we are committed for the benefits of farmers, and we are ready for the open discussion on all their issues without any biasing, and with open-mindedness.”
