Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister Modi passed away in Ahmedabad today. She was admitted to the hospital two days back, on Wednesday. Cabinet Ministers, celebrities and many citizens have shared their condolences across multiple platforms.
Modi has taken part in the last rites of his mother in Gandhinagar, where he has been seen carrying the mortal remains of his mother. As Smt Heeraben passed away today, the Prime Minister paid tribute to his mother stating that he always has felt the trinity of a tapsvi's journey, selfless Karmyogi and a life dedicated to values in her.
Modi shared a reminiscence of his mother on twitter. “When I met her on her 100th birthday, she said one thing, which is ‘always remember: work with intelligence, live life with purity’.”
