PMJDY: Now Check Your Jan Dhan Account Balance Through One Missed Call

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 to provide banking facilities to every citizen of the country. Under PM Jan Dhan Yojana, accounts can be opened with zero balance and the account holders get many free services.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2014 to provide banking facilities to every citizen of the country. The best thing about PM Jan Dhan Yojana is that accounts can be opened with zero balance. In addition, the account holders is given many other benefits.  

Through this scheme, benefits of government schemes can reach the public directly. In fact, during the corona period, the government had sent money to the needy people through Jan Dhan accounts. 

How to Check Jan Dhan Balance through Missed call? 

You can check the balance in this account very easily. To check the balance, you just need to give a missed call on 18004253800 or 1800112211. Make sure that you give a missed call through your registered mobile number.  

How to Check Jan Dhan Balance through PFMS portal? 

To check the balance through PFMS portal, you can visit the portal, click here. After this, click on ‘Know your Payment’ and enter your account number. After entering the account number twice, enter the captcha code.   

Special Facilities

Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, customers get many special facilities including overdraft and RuPay card. Apart from the above mentioned options, you can also check your account balance through the Bank’s app or Net banking facility.  

What are the Benefits of PMJDY? 

  • You can open a Savings bank account under this scheme

  • You don’t need to maintain any minimum balance in PMJDY account

  • You will earn interest on the amount deposited in PMJDY account

  • RuPaydebit card will be provided 

  • Accident insurance cover of Rs. 1 lakh (extended to Rs. 2 lakhin new PMJDY accounts opened after 28/08/2018)  

  • Overdraft facility up to Rs. 10,000 is available to the eligible account holders

Other Benefits

PMJDY account holders are eligible for Direct benefit Transfer (DBT), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Micro Unit Development and Refinance Agency Bank (MUDRA) scheme.
