The proposal to build 40 million metres of barbed wire fencing has been accepted by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He has also recommended lowering the minimum fence limit to 0.50 hectares due to the limited size of the holdings of farmers from Scheduled Tribe communities.

As a result, community engagement in fencing will now receive a larger funding than previously. Fencing will cost around Rs 444.40 crore in the fiscal year 2023-24.

The Farmers Welfare Fund will provide Rs 391 crore, while the state plan 'Grant for crop protection through wire fencing' will contribute Rs 25 crore.

Agricultural fencing is a type of fence that is commonly used in farming. On farms, fencing is frequently used to assist control cattle.

The fence can keep them from leaving the farm. Fencing can be used to keep out creatures that may consume or harm crops on farms that raise produce. Wire fencing provides excellent perimeter vision, and galvanisation increases rust and corrosion resistance. Aside from our De-Fence products, NJR Steel offers a wide selection of wire products for fencing, fastening, electrical conduction, and other applications.

According to the announcement, the remaining Rs 28.40 crore will be spent from the National Food Security Mission. Notably, Gehlot announced in the 2023-24 budget that the wire fencing grant under the Rajasthan Crop Protection Mission would be continued.
