Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush, visited the site at Dibrugarh University to assess the event's preparations. On the visit, he was accompanied by the state Health Minister, Keshab Mahanta, and senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush, as well as the Dibrugarh district government.

Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ayush, stated on the occasion, "It is a moment of tremendous pleasure as our lovely Dibrugarh prepares to host one of the largest Yoga events in the country on April 7, 2023."

It is a fantastic coincidence that we also mark World Health Day on the same day, with the ultimate goal of creating a conduit for humanity to live better, healthier, and happier lives. Yoga can help with that.

"Yoga has become a worldwide movement for better health and mind as a result of PM Shri Narendra Modi's constant efforts. Faithful to our heritage, India continues to make every effort to advance the path of Yoga as it becomes the elixir for quality human lives. Yoga has united the world in the pursuit of a better tomorrow. The Yoga Mahotsav aims to promote inclusivity and diversity by involving many parts of society in health-promoting activities.

"I urge everyone to include Yoga into their daily lives and to enjoy the amazing fruits of India's rich tradition," Appeal continued. The Union Minister met with University students, as did the Health Minister and Prof Jiten Hazarika, Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University, among others.

The conversations ranged from the relevance of Ayush in improving our lives to the chances created for the students' benefit in furthering their participation in nation building. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also urged students to play an active role in ensuring the success of the Yoga Mahotsav.
