SBI Customers Can Download Form-16A and Interest Certificate from This Online Direct Link

State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest lender, has told its customers that Form 16A is now available at all SBI branches. Adding to it, the bank also tweeted that it has mailed the TDS certificate (Form 16A) to the registered email IDs of customers. Now SBI customers can easily download the form from SBI’s official website @ OnlineSbi.com.

State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest lender, has told its customers that Form 16A is now available at all SBI branches. Adding to it, the bank also tweeted that it has mailed the TDS certificate (Form 16A) to the registered email IDs of customers. Now SBI customers can easily download the form from SBI’s official website @ OnlineSbi.com.

SBI informed in one of its tweets that: "A reminder to all our customers- Form 16A has been made available since 2nd July, 2020 at all SBI branches. Kindly contact your respective branch for further information."

Customers can note that Form 16A, also called as TDS certificate, is issued when TDS is deducted on income other than salary. In the case of banks including SBI, Form 16A mentions TDS on interest income on fixed deposits.

How SBI customers can download Form 16A?

  1. First visit onlinesbi.com

  2. Here log in using your username and password.

  3. Tap on 'TDS enquiry' under the 'Fixed Deposit' tab.

  4. Now you will get three options- TDS financial year, NRO TDS enquiry and Download. Click on the TDS financial year tab.

  5. Select either 'Live accounts', or 'Closed account' (If the fixed deposit has matured during the financial year 2019-20)

  6. Choose the financial year 2019-20.

  7. Now click on 'Submit' button.

Please note- Your request for TDS enquiry will be generated along with the request reference number. The SBI customers can download the TDS details in the 'Download' tab. After your request is processed, you can tap on 'Request ID' to download or under the 'Download' tab, see TDS certificate.
