The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the much-awaited notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination for the year 2019 on its official website – www.ssc.nic.in.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the much-awaited notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination for the year 2019 on its official website – www.ssc.nic.in.

The registration process has begun and it will close on 5th April at 5 pm. The last date to make payment is 7th April 2019.

Those applying for the SSC-CHSL will have to appear in two examinations. The tier-I exam, which is computer-based will be conducted from 1st to 26th June, 2019. The tier-II exam, which is descriptive, will be held on 29th September 2019.

The details of latest vacancies will be released shortly on the SSC official website. The selected applicants will be hired for the position of LDC or lower division clerk, JSA or junior secretariat assistant, postal assistant / sorting assistant, DEO or data entry operator and data entry operator (grade A).

SSC CHSL 2019

Eligibility for SSC CHSL 2019:

1. Age - An applicant should be not less than 18 years and not above 27 years as on 1st August 2019. Upper age limit has been relaxed for candidates of reserved category.

2. Essential Education –

For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO post - candidates should have cleared their Class XII exam.

For the post of DEO in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), applicants must have cleared class 12 from Science stream.

3. Vacancy: The details of the latest vacancies will be announced shortly as the commission has not notified on number of vacancies.

4. Fee: Candidates will have to pay Rs 100 for SSC exam. Those from the reserved category and women candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

Exam pattern for SSC CHSL 2019:

Tier-I Examination - will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions only that will be set both in English and Hindi for Part-II, III & IV. There will be negative marking of 0.50 for every incorrect answer.

Tier-II - will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in offline mode i.e. Pen & Paper Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper will be for 1 hour. The paper would consist of - an Essay of 200 to 250 words and a Letter/ Application of around 150 to 200 words.

The minimum qualifying marks in the Tier-II is 33 %.

Salary of SSC CHSL 2019:

For the post of LDC & JSA – applicants will get a monthly salary of Rs 5200 - Rs 20,200 in the grade pay of Rs 1900.

For the post of PA & SA – candidates will get Rs 5200 - Rs 20,200 in grade pay of Rs 2400.

For the post of DEO – applicants will get salary in the pay scale of Rs 5200 - Rs 20200 & grade pay of Rs 2400.

Step 3: Then click on ‘apply’ in the main tab

Step 4: Now you will be redirected to a fresh page

Step 5: There click on the ‘CHSL’ & then click on ‘apply’

Step 6: Now, fill the form carefully

Step 7: Upload all required documents

Step 8: Finally make the payment
