According to the latest notification issued by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB), the last date of online application process for TNEB TANGEDCO Recruitment 2019 for 5000 Gangman vacancies has been extended. Now applicants can submit their application form online till 30 May 2019.
In addition, candidates applying for TNEB TANGEDCO Recruitment 2019 would be able to submit the application fee till 1st June 2019 through the Indian Bank, Canara Bank and Indian Overseas Bank.
In March, the TANGEDCO and TNEB had published an official notification for the direct recruitment of Gangman (Trainee). A total of 5000 vacancies were notified for Gangman (Trainee) jobs. The online application process started from 22nd March 2019 and the last date of application was 22nd April 2019. The last date for payment of Fee was 24th April 2019.

The candidates if get selected for the Gangman (Trainee) post will be placed under 2 year training period with a consolidated pay of 15,000 per month. Further, after successful completion of the training period they will be put at level -1 in the pay matrix - Rs.16, 400 to 51,500.
Education Qualification
Candidates those who want to apply for TANGEDCO 5000 Gangman post should be at least 5th pass. He/she must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil Language. Those who do not know Tamil can also apply for the Gangman post.
If selected, they should qualify the Second Class Language Test as laid down in the Service Regulation. All eligible applicants including those sponsored by the Employment Exchange & Open Market candidates must apply online to appear for the physical test.

Selection Procedure for TNEB TANGEDCO Recruitment 2019
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Physical Test (eg - Pole climbing, fixing of Cross Arm) followed by a Competitive Written Exam.
