Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister for Science and Technology, Government of India was the chief guest of the event.

He started his speech by giving an example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has a natural temper for science; he said that PM Modi during his Independence Day address, talked about the start-ups in India & many Heterogeneous people across India took time to understand this. Though from last 3-4 years, it has picked up in a big way.

And, to give a boost rate to this, PM Modi has invited the young achievers and held a marathon session in the National Capital. He encouraged brainstorming among the various Science Ministries to make each other understand, where exactly the technology is coming from.

PM Modi has been pushing everyone to understand technology. Now, when technology has become an essential part of our life, we have no other option but to live it up with technology, and those of us who are hesitant or reluctant though we still do not realize that we already using this technology.

Secondly, Dr. Jitendra Singh talks about the co-relations between formal literacy & digital literacy. He gave an example that “if we go the rural area, even the most illiterate person over there, could help to take photographs & send us in WhatsApp

He said, “That’s the Advantage, the Magic & the Asset of a Smart Literacy, which can be acquired without the formal education”.

Dr. Jitendra Singh shared how he feels glad about the government agency that came out with new education policies, which actually bears this strongly in mind before formulating it. Now the technology has entered into the households of India.

Now that we are at the 75th Year of Independence and 25 Years away when India turns 100. It is basically going to be the technology-based ascent, which it has already become”.

He then, compliments ASSOCHAM, to take this initiative & wished them for this new Endeavour. He asked them to carry this forward & Underline the Smart Technology Integrated with the Smart Ecosystem.
