Weather Report: Rains and Thundershower in Delhi-NCR Today, Temperature Drops

Early morning have been quite pleasant and chilly today as there is a continuous rain in Delhi and its adjacent areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. The Palam observatory recorded 4 mm of rain until 5:30 am today. The Cyclonic Circulation over Punjab and parts of Haryana have been the prime reason for these rains. An extending trough up to Uttar Pradesh across Delhi and NCR is also responsible for the thundershowers. These two systems have formed another fresh Western Disturbance over the northern hills.

Early morning has been quite pleasant and chilly today as there is a continuous rain in Delhi and its adjacent areas of Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.

Talking about Delhi-NCR weather, the showers are going to be periodic, which means they are going to occur at small-small intervals today. While today the rains will dampen the whole of Delhi, a few places might be relieved from the hold of rains and rain will continue only in some patches with a lighter intensity tomorrow. It is predicted that this is going to be the last round of rains for the National Capital Territory for the month of January.

But that's not it from the rain in this winter season. Meteorologists predict that there is going to be another form of strong weather system after a long gap, which will also bring another significant rainfall.

It is also anticipated that there would be a drop in minimum temperature by 3-4 degrees Celsius due to the north-westerlies.  Not only the minimum temperature will see a drop but day temperatures will also be lower for the next few days, making the weather colder.  Delhiites can expect chill winds until February 1 or 2.
